In the Kurdistan Region, these principles are being put into action. For example, in the past five years the Erbil Municipality has planted 361,048 trees and shrubs and 423,400 flowers , dramatically greening the city.

The Kurdistan Regional Government even requires that 25% of any new development be green space .

ئێمە دابینکەرێکی پیشەیی خزمەتگوزاری باخداری و گەشەپێدانی سەوزین، تایبەتمەند بە دیزاینکردن و پەروەردەکردنی باخچە و دیمەنە گەشاوە و بەردەوامەکان. بە ڕێبازێکی دۆستانە بانگهێشتی سەردانکەرانمان دەکەین کە لەگەڵمان بن لە چاندنی شوێنی سەوزتر و باشترکردنی کۆمەڵگاکان.

• کاریگەری لەسەر ژینگە: باخچە و شوێنە سەوزەکان یارمەتی هەڵمژینی ئاوی باران دەدەن و ئاوی ڕژاو کەم دەکەنەوە، ئەمەش لافاو کەم دەکاتەوە .

هەروەها ناوچەکانی شارەکان سارد دەکەنەوە و یارمەتی فلتەرکردنی پیسکەرەکان دەدەن. بە بەرهەمهێنانی ڕووەک و خۆراک لە ناوخۆدا، دەردانی گازی ژەهراوی لە گواستنەوەی بەرهەمەکان بۆ مەودای دوور کەم دەکەنەوە .

لە هەرێمی کوردستان ئەم پرەنسیپانە دەخرێنە بواری جێبەجێکردنەوە. بۆ نموونە لە ماوەی پێنج ساڵی ڕابردوودا شارەوانی هەولێر 361 هەزار و 48 نەمام و درەخت و 423 هەزار و 400 گوڵی چاندووە، بەشێوەیەکی دراماتیک شارەکەی سەوز کردووە.

تەنانەت حکومەتی هەرێمی کوردستان داوا دەکات کە 25%ی هەر گەشەسەندنێکی نوێ فەزای سەوز بێت . پڕۆژە گەورەکانی وەک سەوزکردنی ڕێگای خێرای هەولێر-شەقڵاوە-پیرمام بە ڕووبەری 50 هەزار م2 (بە زیاتر لە 1400 دار و ڕووەکی نوێ) نموونەی ئەم پابەندبوونەن .
